Hosedon House impressed with its warm ambiance and convenient amenities, highlighted by a 24/7 Aga that efficiently dried our wet clothes after long walks. The nearby pub served tasty snacks and drinks, making dining out hassle-free for those opting to skip cooking. some could find the decor dated, and the noise from adjacent activities might disturb light sleepers. parking options felt limited at times, which could be a concern during peak seasons.

I enjoyed my stay at the Rose and Thistle. The food impressed me each meal. The portions were generous, perfect after a long day of hiking. The guest lounge with the real fire created a cozy vibe. My room was spacious, and I appreciated the fresh linens that had a lovely smell. I noticed some noise from other guests at night. Wi-Fi connected poorly in my room, which was inconvenient. Parking was limited, making it a bit tricky. I wanted to use a shared facility, but it felt crowded at times. Still, the friendly atmosphere made up for these little issues.
